DIANA HACKER personally class-tested her handbooks with nearly four thousand students over thirty-five years at Prince George's Community College in Maryland, USA, where she was a member of the English faculty. NANCY SOMMERS, who has taught composition and directed composition programs for thirty years, now teaches writing and mentors new writing teachers at Harvard's Graduate School of Education, USA. Since I have to write a lot of papers, it is seemed important to own the APA manual itself because you cannot go wrong with possessing the original master piece. The pocket manual is much more user- friendly though, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who has to write APA documents of any type. It is my favorite writing tool so far.

2 day shipping does NOT really mean 2 day shipping. However, the book is helpful

I received this item 3 weeks later and I needed it earlier than that. I did NOT like that. Apart from waiting for this book for what seemed like an eternity, this is a pretty accurate APA manual but it's not a substitute for the original manual approved by the psychological associations. I found this manual helpful as it's an abridged version and it gets right to the point. It is also VERY organized, provides examples, and it's much quicker to find what you're looking for. I'm happy with it.

FINALLY, APA makes SENSE!!!! For anyone writing papers, this is a MUST!!! It's easy to read, clear, and has great examples and has everything you could ask for and more. It puts Purdue OWL's website to shame.
